Name that Pacifier

Okay, I want everyone's opinion...what is your nickname for a pacifier?

I call it a "paci", but my husband calls it a "sucker"

I have just never heard it called a sucker before :) and I always laugh when he asks me where Kenna's sucker is!

By the way, the 6 hour stretch has not been repeated

6 hours straight!

Kenna slept from 12:45 to 6:45 last night! Yea!!

She had never slept longer than 4 hours (at the MOST) at a time prior to last night. At 6:45 she started fussing a little so Daniel put her in our bed and laid her on her stomach. We very rarely let her sleep on her tummy but she loves it. She then snoozed for another 45 minutes before wanting to eat. Doesn't she look sweet?!? I love the cheeks.
I love how small she looks in our king size bed...so tiny.

Is this a sign of things to come? We hope so!

Busy Weekend!

What a busy weekend... but it was a lot of fun.

Saturday I spent part of the day at one of the high schools in town doing school physicals. One of the schools is always the "host" school for all the others in town. It was crazy! We start with the boys at 6:30 AM (early!) and then finished up with the girls around noon. They have developed a very efficient system and we were able to clear around 750 kids to participate in UIL activities. It was kind of amusing at times. I would see a 6 foot 3 inch, 283 pound offensive lineman and then he would be followed by 4 foot 7 inch, 82 pound 7th grader with glasses - too cute!

My parents showed up Saturday night to see Kenna. They say that they come to see Daniel and me also, but we know the truth! They had gone to a friend's graduation and decided to shoot up here when that was over and pick up my grandmother on the way. The three of them could not quit "fighting" over Kenna. It was so fun to watch! We went to church and then did some shopping yesterday. Miss K always makes out like a bandit when they come to visit.

My camera battery died and I had to charge it so I do not have any good pictures from this weekend (Mom has some she is going to email me...right, Mom?) so I thought I would post a few more from our trip to Muleshoe.

I think Kenna looks so cute in this dress (Thanks Leslye!!)

We took this picture of the girls before we started getting them ready for chuch on Sunday. Abbye was wide awake but Kenna just wanted to sleep a little longer!!

Meeting Baby Luke

Yesterday Daniel and I took Kenna to meet her new cousin Luke. He is absolutely adorable!!

We got to have dinner with David and Suzanne and share newborn stories. Kenna looked so big compared to Luke but she still may not be as long as he is. I LOVE his hair - it is so thick!

I can't wait for all the cousins to get together. They should have so much fun!

I survived

Yesterday went a whole lot better than I thought it would. Daniel brought Kenna to visit at lunch so I could get my Miss K fix. It was nice to show her off some more!

She was smiling when I got home and I just wanted to sit and play with her forever!

I had a harder time leaving today than I did yesterday - She was sleeping so sweetly I just wanted to stay and watch her all morning. I guess it will start becoming routine but I am not there yet!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Time's Up!

Today is my first day back at work since the day before Kenna was born and I am trying to adjust.

I love my job and am glad to be back BUT I sure am missing my daughter! I wish I could just bring her with me everyday - then I could get the best of both worlds. That would probably not work very well though.

I am extremely blessed that Miss K gets to stay with her daddy during the day and I know they will have a lot of fun together. I have only called twice to check in... that is not too much is it? (They are doing great)

I can't wait to get home to my little girl!!

Fun Weekend

We have had so much fun this weekend!!

Yesterday started with me trying to be "supermom" Amy was getting ready to feed Abbye while I was burping Kenna so I ended up holding both of them and trying to keep them happy. It was a lot of fun but I have definitely found a new respect for people with twins!

We spent yesterday afternoon hanging out with all of our friends from church. We played spoons, shanghai (sp?), and spend a lot of time talking. We had to take lots of pictures, too.

We started with a pic of the original 'kids' that were there.

Next we added all the spouses and kids.

We made the parents take a turn at pictures as well.

Today was a lot of fun getting both of the girls all dressed up and taking them to church together. I think they were a hit!

We had quite the storm during services this evening. All of the sudden it started raining and thundering and then we had golfball sized hail. The weather people said the wind got up to 70-80 mph - I am glad we were inside!!

We are headed back home tomorrow - we will see how Kenna's first road trip goes. It is weird to think that she has had three plane rides now but has never been in the car for longer than an hour!

Happy Memorial Day!!
