Pre-K Polar Express

A few days before Christmas, the Pre-K classes at Kenna's school did a Polar Express Parade.  Every child was to make a train car that they brought to school.  Daniel took this on as a personal mission.  Instead of a decorated box (which most kids did), he made sure that her train had wheels, a top, and a headlight.  It was so funny to watch.  He actually had to cut it down a few times because it was too big and heavy for her to carry. :)  I love how excited they both were to do this project.  Kenna was very explicit on what colors she wanted to use on everything (a red train with green and silver polka dots)...so funny!

All of the other students of the school lined the halls and watched as Santa led all of the Pre-K'ers, dressed in their pajamas, down the hall and the Polar Express songs played over the loud speakers.  They also all had bracelets of bells tied around their wrists.  Once they made it to the end, they had hot chocolate and cookies waiting for all of the kids and their parents.

Dane loved getting to watch the parade and then play with Kenna's train car once we got it home.  Too cute!
