Monkey Time

Miss K has recently developed a fascination with monkeys. Her favorite song to listen to in the car is "Five Little Monkeys" and she loves to use her little plate that has monkey faces and bananas on it...so for Halloween we were sure she needed to be a monkey....or in her words "monney, ooo, ooo" (she always makes the little monkey noise after she says it).

We got to get all dressed up on Sunday night for Trunk or Treat at church and Kenna had a BLAST! She loved her costume and held on to her banana basket all the way to the church building. She also liked the banana in her pocket! I loved the back of her outfit...but I really loved the picture of her walking by her daddy!!

Kenna has not had much candy in her young life, but that all changed on Sunday! At one of the first few cars we stopped at, she found a bubble gum dum-dum and fell in love! She wouldn't even move as long as she had the dum-dum in her mouth....

Of course, after that, she just wanted more and more. The funniest part was that she kept getting mad at us for taking the candy away from her to take the wrappers off before she put it in her mouth...she wanted to eat it paper and all!

We did pose for a photo op with JD the train conductor...quite a change from this time last year!

Thanks to all the people who helped plan this great event...we had fun!!

Random Pictures

Kenna and I spent a great day together at home (for the most part...we ran a few errands). We had a lot of fun playing - both indoors and out! It was a beautiful day!!

Kenna must have decided that she needed a chair to sit and play with her table...she doesn't really fit inside the Bumbo any longer but she still loves to play with it! When I was cleaning up after she went to bed just a few minutes ago, I found her milk balanced on a block...that's talent, I tell ya! :)

Hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful fall day!!

Shades

Daniel, Kenna, and I were running some errands on Friday afternoon. Kenna has always been a talker, but the last three days have taken it to a new level. :) I looked back to see what she was saying and found her telling us something (who knows what) with her glasses on her head. She plays with her sunglasses all the time, but never actually wears them correctly...looks like she figured it out! She eventually took her shoes off, pulled her pants legs up, and propped one foot up on the door...missed that picture. I have put my camera back in my purse so I will hopefully do better about taking pictures of Miss K.

Books and Toilet Paper Rolls

Kenna has always loved to look through books, but she has now found a favorite. She loves to sit in "her" rocker and look at one of Daniel's books - something about construction and fire fighting I think. It doesn't even have that great of pictures to look at, but she keeps crawling up into her rocker and grabbing that book!
A little side note: she has decided that this is her rock-rock. If anybody else sits in it (it is in our study) then she will try to push you out so that she can climb in...and don't even think about trying to hold her while you sit in it...it's her chair! :)
Miss K has also discovered the joy of empty paper towel rolls. Of course, she has still as small, toddler hands and apparently the empty roll makes a great addition to her arm!

She loves to walk around the house like this...too funny!

I guess she was in the mood to show off the other night...all of these pictures were taken after her bath and right before bed on Sunday. She was a wound up little girl!

Samuel James

Kenna has a new cousin! Samuel James arrived on October 9th and gets to share a birthday with his Uncle Dan! Baby Sam weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 21 in long. Sam's parents are Daniel's sister Hannah and her husband Chris.
We can't wait to meet Sam!!

Southwest Classic

Saturday night, we dropped Miss K off with my aunt and uncle and headed to Cowboys stadium to watch my beloved Aggies take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Southwest Classic.

Cowboys Stadium is amazing! We had to stop outside for a pic with Tom Landry. Our seats were a little high :) but the screen in the center made it all okay! I found myself tempted to watch the screen instead of the actual game because you could see so well! The A&M side was packed with fans and Arkansas wasn't too far behind!

Mom, Dad, Mama, and Papa (Papa is a huge razorback fan....we still let him sit with us :)
Me and my hubby

A&M started the game off great - 10 to 0, but then the tide quickly turned the other way... :(

Oh well, it was still so much fun to go to the game, and we always win halftime - nobody can out perform the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band....Whoop!

I made a video of the band...but it has not uploaded for two days now...sorry! You will just have to take my word on how incredible they really are!

A&M and Arkansas have signed a 10 year agreement to play at Cowboys Stadium....can't wait until next year!!
