3 AM

It is three o'clock in the morning....

Kenna woke up about thirty minutes ago and will not go back to sleep. She is not upset at all....she is just laying in her crib talking every now and then. She normally goes to bed around 8 and will sleep until 6:30 without a problem. Last night she was a little extra tired and fell asleep at 7:40. Surely that extra twenty mintues didn't mess her up!!

She now has a dry diaper and she doesn't want to eat so I know she should be able to go back to sleep. We shall see! Maybe I should put her in her jumper....she seems to sleep there pretty well! I don't want her to think it is morning and time to play though.

We are leaving tomorrow (or is it today?) to go to Lubbock/Muleshoe for the weekend. Daniel is working tonight so the plan was for me to drive tomorrow while he slept/studied for the promotional exam. We might have to alter that plan just slightly! :) I am sure we will take some pictures, so for all of you who just want to see pics of Miss K, I will update when we get back.

The time between chatter (well her no words version of chatter) is starting to lengthen and get quieter. Do I dare try to go back to bed or will that jinx it.....

(Update: She was up for almost two hours and never cried. She just talked to herself for a long time after I changed her diaper and then just let her try to go back to sleep. She must have been having an important conversation with herself. I never even got her out of her crib. She looks really sleepy this morning though!)

Well, you're not alone! We've had a night just like that before...no crying, just talking in the crib for an hour and a half! For what it's worth, I don't think the 20 minute early bedtime had anything to do with it. Hope you get through today ok!

Ah, to have a child that can go to sleep on her own, it's a beautiful thing!
